Welcome to the new Bouhammer.com, Steward Family Website. This site has been up for several years and has gone through several modifications and changes since we first put it up, but what you are looking at now is the first complete website re-design this site has went through. This new look rolled out on January 1st, 2008 as a fresh new look for a fresh new year.

Christine, Jon, Jordan, Hunter and myself (Troy) are going to try and use this site to communicate better and share more things with more people throughout the year. 2007 was a big year for us with me coming home safely from Afghanistan, Christine and I attending the birthday ball, Jon being officially notified of his Afghanistan deployment, the release of the book The Sandbox which I was able to participate in the initial book signings for in Washington D.C, Jordan being accepted to travel to Europe as a Student Ambassador and then the USO Leadership Award I recived in NYC near the end of the year.

Our family enjoyed as much time together this year as we could. They welcomed me back into their lives and I welcomed them into mine. We also spent as much time as we could with Jon who will be himself shipping off to Afghanistan in early 2008. In addition to Jon's travels, we have Jordan who has been invited and accepted to travel with the People to People Student Ambassador program to 7 countries in Europe this summer.

In light of Jordan's upcoming travels, I have created a new People 2 People blog where Christine, Jordan and myself will document the preparation, fundraising, lessons learned and then eventually the chronicles of his trip. I will be adding a new album to the pictures section which will also be the place to see pictures related to his trip. As you can imagine, the trip is very expensive and requires a lot of fund raising. Jordan will be selling thigs like Yankee Candles, wrapping paper, etc. He is also looking to accept any donations anyone would like to make to him for his trip. In order to facilitate this, I have setup a special bucket in my paypal account for anyone that would like to donate money towards his trip. Since it goes through paypal, we can take all major credit cards as payment and we will be told the second that a contribution is made to the account. We have lots of family and friends all over the world and we think this is the easiest way for someone to help him out. I encourage all to check out the People to People Blog where you can read about the details of his trip, where he will be visiting then then follow along as he gets ready to go.

Without a doubt 2008 will bring a lot of new adventures and unforseen things this year. We hope they are all good and we pray that the Lord will watch over us all and everyone we care about throughout the year.
