Thanking the USO!

Posted By The Dude on April 19, 2009

Just wanted to take a few moments and say thank you to the The Charlie Daniel’s Band as it put on a great performance for the military service members assigned to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.  This was sponsored by the USO and from the reaction of the crowd, it was greatly appreciated by all in attendance.

A couple of years ago I had the fortunate opportunity to see Aaron Tippin perform in a concert at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan while I was coming back from my R & R.  Even though my role in Kuwait as a civilian is much different then my role was in Afghanistan as an ETT, I still appreciate the USO (and the many other performers not mentioned here) as these shows are great for the morale of the troops.   Keep up the great work!
