This week on BTR, we’ll have a substantive discussion about the use of the stop loss policy to man combat units. Since 1993, more than 12,500 troops have been discharged under the Clinton-era “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Could a halt to the policy really solve the military’s manning issues? We’ll also be talking live with embedded freelance reporter/blogger Scott Kesterson who is currently with combat troops in southeastern Afghanistan.
You can call in live and ask Scott questions or join us in the chat room and type a question that CJ or I can ask him for you.
The show is Thursday evening from 1900-2030 EST. You can access the chatroom and listen online at www.blogtalkradio.com/youserved
Also, keep an eye on this blog or www.soldiersperspective.us later in the week for some big announcements about next week’s Veteran’s Day Special Show.
