After considering it for a while, I have decided to combine my Military and Afghanistan blogs into one. Since both are Military related and it was hard to decide what to post in which one, I found it easier to just combine them.
I have moved over all of the entries from the Military Blog and I will be making changes on my website from changing the banner at the top of my blog to getting rid of links to the military blog. I have also started creating categories on my blog so the entries are categorized based on the content of each.
I think you will find that I will be posting a lot more now that I have these combined. They may not all be super long entries, as some may be short but hey at least they are postings.
As always, comments are still welcomed and I look forward to my continued writings on military issues, Afghanistan, military benefits, politics, or whatever else I decide to chat about.
Happy reading…Until Next Time….

Another Great Read
Anyone that reads my blog with any regularity knows that I sometimes post links to other blogs that have powerful stories or leave a meaningful impression. Usually these are to stories by soldiers themselves, however now I have one from a wife that is as powerful as any story written by a soldier about their time in combat. Why? Because it is written by a wife about her time in combat, fighting the pain, fear, sadness, and anger of caring for her husband who was serverely wounded in Iraq.
The soldier is the famous JR Salzman, who was a well-known milblogger from the front lines. This blog is written by his wife Josie. I will tell you now that this may need a tissue alert, so have them handy and then go check out gocomics.typepad.com/the_sandbox/2007/08/im-ok-youre-ok-.html
A Powerful Video Blog
One powerful blog entry over on the Sandbox. The piece is called Men in Black and just went up on their site today. It is actually a Video Blog with a snippet from an award-winning documentary. Some people are great in articulating all the details of the stuff they go through. In the past I have referred people that read my blog to these other ones and this is definitely one of those.
So do you want to attempt to see war through a soldier’s eyes? Do you want to have possible glimpse from the outside what it is like to live life on the inside? Check out gocomics.typepad.com/the_sandbox/2007/08/men-in-black.html
Watch that and then see how you feel.
The Real Stories
Read my latest blog entry on the VA Mortgage Center site which deals with embedded reporters telling the REAL STORIES from both Iraq and Afghanistan. You can find it at www.vamortgagecenter.com/blog/2007/08/07/the-real-stories/
I know I have not blogged much lately, but am now back to work so I have been swamped with that and family happenings. I promise to put some more blogs up soon.
Military benefits
I have written a new post for the VA Mortgage Center website on the value of being in the military in the way of benefits that are rarely tapped into. If you are a member of the military, family member or a business owner I encourage you to read this post.
